Not goodbyes
In a coupla days, Sam and Jeanitta are going to London for a working holiday. It will not be goodbye, for I know, that I'll see them again soon and we will still be friends even with the half the world between us.
I was kinda sad to see them go, but after a little while, I realised that I'm happy for them. Happy for they have finally taken that step to try something they have always wanted to do. It seems simple to go to London on a working holiday, just cos every other young Australian seem to do it. But it is a life changing experience and hats off to them taken that step
'Tis a dark and stormy night when....
I couldn't bloody sleep cos the wind was howling all night and the screen door was rattling!! Not happy Jan!And since the weather is so shit, and me hating the bus in general, I decided I'd avoid catching the bus in at all cost. So I got ready half an hour early just so Michele can drop me off at work when he drove into work himself. Ah... at extend of my laziness still amuses me. Oh well, you dim sum you lose some =)
Meatballs
I had the best meatballs last night for dinner!!! Michele's mum made them. Yes homemade meatballs are the best... oh wait I can't really say that cos I've never had homemade meatballs before. I'm sorry mum, but I know you've tried but how do you expect to beat an Italian mother who makes her own salami, olives, and everything else? (but I still do love my mum the most!)So, these meatballs. I think they were a mix of beef and pork. Fried just right on the outside, soft and not too well done on the inside. Eat that with spiced tomato based pasta sauce (made from scratch of course!) .... can life be any better than this!??!I brought left overs for lunch today too. And I brought some for my sister too. Now she can see what real pasta sauce taste like (again, no offence mum)I'm so looking forward to lunch.... 3 hours and 14 mins to go...
In a galaxy far far away...
In a galaxy far far away, when I used to write on my blog regularly...Well yes its been a while, but thanks to a little nudge from monkey, I've decided to start writing on my blog again. Oh don't get me wrong, I still don't have nothing to say, but hey, who told you to read?!So what was the last thing i said? ah yes, Europe. Well that seems like YEARS ago, and sad to say I've forgotten about a lot of it. But its great when I watch the History Channel I can actually picture places in my mind and picture the events that went on cos I've been to that place. So a quick summary of my life in the last 6 months:- Came back from Europe a more cultured, educated chick- realised how shit my job was and decided to quit... eventually- found a great airfare deal to go to Hong Kong, so booked that in May, to travel in Sept- after some emails and SMS in june, went on my first date with Michele (pronounced me-kay-lay), whom I'm now living with (yes that was pretty much the answer to "so how was the first date?")- july was busy with my cousin Jason visiting from the States. and oh yea, my new boyfriend too- august was bliss, happy relationship, happy looking forward to quitting my job before I leave for HK- Sept was HK. Had laser eye surgery. Shopped, a LOT.- 2nd half of Sept was back in Oz, and straight into a new job, working in the same company as my sister- new job, new place to live. thats when i moved in with Michele- and here i am now.....so we're all caught up now? good
