Less than week...

Its less than a week before I leave Sydney… even though I have to come back in three months due to visa issues, it still feels like this departure is permanent cos, well that’s the plan.
Everyone asks me “Are you excited about going to NY?” (and by the way, I hope I’ve heard the last person say that cos I’m going to wring the neck of the person who asks me next), my answer would just be “yes” to those I don’t know very well, “yes, and a bit nervous too” to those I know fairly well, and “no, not really excited, more like I’m shitting myself cos I don’t think I can handle it” to those I know very well.

Truth is, NY has an aura to it. Well at least in my mind I think it does. And I don’t know if a “country” girl like me would be able to handle it. I like Sydney, in fact, I love it here. Aside from the obvious reason that my family is here, what I love about Sydney is the pace and the people. It’s laid back enough in general to be a city that’s relaxing, but its not too slow like nothing ever happens here. It’s perfect. I don’t think I can keep up at NY.

My goal is to keep my own pace while I’m there.

Besides the “scary” busy hectic metropolitan, the scariest thing would be me not being able to work. Luckily, money is not too big of an issue here. The big issue is my sanity, and consequently my relationship with Michelè. No work = too much time = clingy
